The Ocean Cleanup
The project that works

I was researching what the garbage in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (and in seas and oceans in general) looks like when I came across The Ocean Cleanup project.
It's a mature, active project with clear progress tracking and tangible results that can be seen and touched.
It turns out that their garbage collection installation, called the Interceptor (in the photo), is operating just 40 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur, capturing trash flowing from the river into the sea. It is installed on the Klang River, one of Malaysia's most polluted rivers.
Guided by the principle of "Seeing once is better than hearing a hundred times," I visited and confirmed that the interceptor does exist :)
It is evident that The Ocean Cleanup is a partnering project, and Aisland should be integrated with it.
I will reach out to them and negotiate collaboration.
